I had a very good experience at The Door Store. It started with an estimate followed by an on site measurement of our front door in Louisville. It took several months for the door to be delivered to the store from their vendor. It was worth the wait to get what we wanted. They worked on a stain color that was more modern than those offered at the store. After our door came in and a sample created, we came to the store and gave our approval. The scheduled install was professionally handled. The installers were knowledgeable and took care with the installation site. We are planning to purchase an interior door of the same stain color for an adjacent office door. Because of our positive experience, I can confidently recommend this store for any door shopping needs. Patience may be needed to get special order doors.

We could not be more pleased. Our master closet had a door that swung in. It really blocked access to the closet. We were looking for a barn door type set up but didn’t want the tradition hardware as our home is more modern. They showed us the Houdini hardware which is invisible. LOVE IT! We then looked at the doors. What a great selection. We picked one with frosted glass and they painted it the color we wanted. In addition we need to change the locks on three exterior doors. We chose the keyless entry kind. They came and did the entire install in about half a day. They were very efficient and did a quality job. The Door Store is a great value for the merchandise and service provided. If we need future doors or hardware we will definitely go back there.

The showroom has many actual doors to see and touch and the staff was very helpful. The install team knew exactly what they were doing and had great camaraderie working very well together. We love our new door!!! It’s gorgeous and the quality/service cannot be beat. The Door Store provided a completely seamless experience from day one. We met with Jim Lord over a year ago and when it was finally time to replace our front door, we picked up exactly where we left off without any issue (thanks for your patience!) They went above and beyond by installing out of their general service area. The door is gorgeous mahogany wood, stained in walnut color with beautiful flemish glass. Yesterday we had our new iron doors and sidelights installed. We were definitely not sure what to expect as far as collateral damage to the house as a result of taking out the old doors and having new doors installed. There was NO collateral damage and the doors fit perfectly.
